So what do you do when you have 500 feet of 500 MCM smoke & heat retardant cable to pull through a facility? The task may seem daunting. The cable itself weighs more than most heavy duty cars on the road, it's bigger than a bread basket, cumbersome and is not going to climb and snake through 500 feet on it's own.
The solution?
You gather 30 strong employees, a few journeyman and you use plain old muscle to show the cable who is boss! Over the past week, Bixby Electric employees tackled the challenge and pulled 500 feet of 500 MCM cable up hills, around corners, and were successful in the installation at Tri State Escalante Plant in Prewitt, NM.
