The Fargo GL-406A Automatic Tension Splice is a full-tension automatic connector designed for splicing 1/0 ACSR, 1/0 AAAC, and 1/0 AAC conductors in overhead electrical distribution applications. It accommodates conductor diameters from 0.355″ to 0.400″ and is designed to provide a minimum of 95% of the conductor’s rated breaking strength. The GL-406A features a high-strength aluminum alloy body, yellow color-coded funnel guides, and factory-applied inhibitor protection. It meets ANSI C119.4 Class A requirements and allows fast installation without conventional compression tooling.
