The Fargo GL-4042A Automatic Tension Splice is a full-tension automatic connector designed for splicing #4 and #2 ACSR, AAAC, and AAC conductors. It accommodates conductor diameters from 0.220″ to 0.320″ and is designed to provide a minimum of 95% of the conductor’s rated breaking strength. The aluminum-alloy connector features red and orange color-coded funnel guides for easy identification and factory-applied inhibitor protection. It meets ANSI C119.4 Class A requirements and provides a fast, reliable method for making permanent overhead conductor splices without conventional compression tooling. 21.
